Helen and Joey went above and beyond, the food was fresh, diverse and delicious - and so much of it! Yoga as the sun rises and sets as you look out over the Ibizan mountains was beautiful and revitalising. The could not do enough to accommodate us. It was home from home. There was lots of places to chill in your free time and they did everything they could to ensure that time was filled with wonderful trips if you wanted to venture out and explore Ibiza. Its not strict and stuffy. The yoga and food is 5 star but if you want a glass of wine with dinner or fun in town, no one minds, as long as you are respectful of the other guests. It’s a very chilled, fun, healthy and inspiring retreat. I will definitely be back.
A homely, informative, inspiring and fun week at Yoga Chicas. I learnt so much from our gracious teacher Joey, to enable me to continue with more confidence in my home practise, which was my intention for the week. Joey has such an extensive knowledge of different types of yoga - some I have never heard of. Her teaching is one of the best I have ever experienced! The villa was the perfect setting: up in the hills, facing San Antonio Bay, 20 minutes walk to the beach and great nightlife should you wish to experience this - I did and the memory will be treasured forever! Our wonderful host Helen never wasted a minute in sharing her extensive knowledge of the island: wanting her guests to experience the many hidden gems that the island has to offer. The food was healthy and plentiful. I haven’t experienced much vegan food, but I feel now that I could continue with this. The vegetarian selection was tasty, varied and every evening was a surprise! Helen has a passion for creating her own dishes and the pleasure she gained through this was as enjoyable and inspiring as the food! Finally, namaste to the group of lovely ladies that I had the pleasure to be with over the week; I am sure we will remain friends in the future!
I knew I was going to love this place as soon as I was picked up. Helen gave me a big hug which was the warmest welcome you could hope for when travelling to a retreat by yourself. Helen works tirelessly to make sure that you get the best not only from the retreat but Ibiza itself. Having recently started a paleo diet I was expecting to compromise to a vegan/vegetarian for the week based on the the information provided by the booking company. But there were also meat and fish dishes through the week which was a lovely surprise. The food is plentiful with several dishes on offer at breakfast and dinner, so you are free to choose what suits you best and indulge as much as you like. And you will indulge because they are all so tasty (brace yourself for the carrot cake overnight oats and the key lime pie). Not only will you love the food, you’ll love the villa and its space, your yoga sessions (the instruction, knowledge, variety, insightfulness and supportiveness), the location (close enough to the town for a wander but far enough away for the quiet and calm of a retreat). I’ve still got one day to go and I don’t want to leave! So much more to say but there is sunshine to be had!!! Thank you both for the perfect retreat, I couldn’t have asked for more.

This retreat was extremely reasonable, the location was fantastic (walking distance to shops, bus station and beach!), and the yoga, meditation and breath work were all adapted to the needs and desires of the group. The food was also well-prepared, and input from the group on dietary restrictions as well as likes and dislikes was always taken into consideration which always made for plenty of options at each meal. The group size was intimate enough were you could form connections with the other retreat-goers and everyone was engaged enough with each other to put an effort into making plans together during the free time. There was a loose enough structure that you could do whatever you truly wanted, but at the same time there was an effort by the retreat team to not only share recommendations of things to do and see on the island, but also plan outings and provide transportation. Overall, the retreat team was extremely accommodating to any requests, from early arrival to room requests to assistance with calling cabs for airport pickup. This retreat (or yoga holiday) was the perfect balance whether it’s your first retreat, first solo travel experience or not - there was plenty of freedom and flexibility to make each day your own unique experience with the common thread of twice daily yoga sessions, meditation and breath work to get you feeling stronger, more relaxed, and like your best self by the end of the week.
Food was tailored to all our special dietary needs, rooms were spacious and quiet, bathrooms were new, the view was fantastic, hostess Helen was super gracious. Wish I had time for a 3rd week, returning next spring!!
